Breg Horemans’ Khor I Theatre in Venlo, Holland

This theatre pavilion in Holland encourages the visitors to be the performers

Khor I, designed by Horemans for Theatre as Architecture, Architecture as Theatre (TAAT), uses thin timber batons of different heights to form a layering of pyramid forms. Blurring interior and exterior, the theatre was designed to create the experience of walking through a bamboo forest, with visitors creating the play themselves by reading a script carved into rotating wooden blocks.
