The small assembly is without doubt the important building type of the foreseeable future. A good example of this class in Protestant territory is the church at Schafftlach, Western Germany (architect Hans Busso von Busse). Constructed of wood (how much less attractive it would have been if made of concrete!) it conveys the sense of a voice crying in the wilderness.
